Another day, another rambling little post with a fun sneak preview. . .
As by now you are aware, in May I was given the opportunity to work more closely with my dear friend, Kim. With Kim’s encouragement and support I have learned several new techniques that translate into better, more versatile products for customers. More than that, I’ve grown to truly love my work again. I adore her for that! Well I adore her for lots of reasons, but that’s one of them.
As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, Digi Stamps have been one of the new little techniques that I’ve embraced in the past few months. Watching my Design Team work with the digi stamps has been fantastic. I love seeing the images come alive in colors I never would have imagined for them! I love how versatile each image becomes as the crafter customizes it to their own personal taste – the hands of talented stampers transforming it from elegant to shabby chic to grungy at will.
These cards were made by design team members Tina and Amelia using the Twelve Days of Christmas Digi Stamps as well as the 12 Days Sentiments. I loved the red touches that Amelia added to the Calling or “colly” birds, and the little shiny silver elements that Tina used to accent some of the polka dots on her packages!
Both of these cards were created at the Bits of Ivory Design Team & Friends Card Nights that we’ve been holding every few weeks. When we’re playing working with the digi stamps it’s like having all the fun of coloring again, with the frosting on the cake of adding grown-up elements to the finished creations. Speaking of cake. . . and cookies. . . refreshments are a nice part of the evening too. . . but where was I? Oh yes. There are some other really great examples of cards made by other team members using digi stamps, and more are being added this week! To view them just click on the gallery tab above and then on the Design Team album.
I’d love for you to leave a comment telling your favorite thing about digi stamps, or what most makes you want to try them!
